On the move again...

Since our last post after arriving in Waterford last night, we have covered a lot of ground!
Last night, we went "out" to the Holy Cross pub in Waterford. We had some fish & chips and a farmer's mix and several Kilkenney's. I think that helped us finally catch up on some Z's. This morning, we had probably one of the best breakfasts ever. I don't know - but these pancakes were unbelievable and the bacon! Yumm....bacon. Fresh fruit is unbelievable here as well. Especially the strawberries. We expected to be off quickly after breakfast, but our wonderful hosts, Paul and Breda got us into a conversation about American politics. If you know us, you know this is not our favorite subject... but they just went on and on about what fools run our country. Like we didn't already know they thought that! After the long conversation and a hug we were off to Waterford Crystal. We took a tour and watched the master craftsmen do their work. Do you know that they have to be schooled for at least 8 years to have the simpliest job at the factory?! Wow! Now we can see why it is costly!

We headed out of Waterford and to Cashel. This is an absolutely beautiful medieval city dating back to the 4th century! We first made our way to the Rock of Cashel, the large cathedral perched on a dramatic hill. This is the location of St. Patrick's Cross, which includes a supposed carving from St. Patrick upon his visit in 450! It was breathtaking. We headed down the footpath and across the way to Hore Abbey, or should I say the Hore Abbey ruins built in 1272. Again...unbelievable!

After some ice cream, we headed down the very windy roads through Tipperary and to Limerick. We arrived at our hotel here and are just chilling out before we go sightsee and have some dinner. Tomorrow morning is our first appointment with the Registrar. On our way to be Mr. & Mrs.

Cheers!
XOXOXO
